Day 2546: Too Few Turtle Doves; No Partridges in Pear Trees

Friday:

A report on the State of Europe's Common Birds says that there have been BIG declines in the populations of the famous Christmas birds. There has been a 62% decrease in turtle doves and an enormous 82% fall in numbers of grey partridges, with only large populations in Asia staving off the threat of Global EXTINCTION! Apparently it is down to more INTENSIVE farming taking away their habitats.

On the other fluffy foot, apparently BUZZARDS are making a come-back.

Which is nice.
